{Red Shoe Green Shoe}

Don’t you hate it when you have the perfect outfit (perhaps one that involves sky high heels) yet they’re uncomfortable and you don’t want to bus or cab, because its summer and you want to enjoy the weather, but your outfit calls for sky high shoes and you start hyperventilating and writing run on sentences because you don’t want to bus or cab ’cause its summer and the weather is nice and you just want to wear your nice sky high heels? (DEEP BREATH!)

Wow.

That was doozy to get out.

Well I do hate that very situation. That is, until Kim sent me a pair of tiny foldable ballet flats that fit into the smallest of clutches and Presto! problem solved. I can now walk comfortably to the market in my ballet flats, slip them into my purse and get my sky high heels on.

Dancing with myself, oh oh, I’m a dancing with myself! When there’s nothing to lose and there’s nothing to prove, I’ll be dancing with myself, oh oh oh! (imagine that sung with a beautiful Portuguese accent, a la Nouvelle Vague, they’re my summer go to band, still. After all these years. ~ you really should be listening to that song while reading this here blog, but I digress).

I think I’d like to dance the night the away, except when I look at the ‘moving’ gif, I realize that that’s how I actually dance, and then unless its in a dimly lit room, and everyone else is enjoying their libations… ya… anyway… sink another drink, ’cause it’ll give me time to think.

Une autre fois, s’il vous plait! (Something about Spring and Summer, where all I want to do is down champers and caviar and speak en francais, s’il vous plait!)

I feel that way all the time!! This is why I rarely wear my best sky high heels, because the thought of walking around in them for longer than a few minutes makes me want to tuck them away for good. A pair of foldable flats sounds like a really good idea.

Haha, your blog cracks me up : ) I do have ballets which I bring around with me, but only in the context of driving in them to spare the backs of all my pretty heels getting scuffed in the seatwell (I drive a manual). I lost some good shoes that way before I realised why I always end up with one gross scuffed right shoe and a smoother but still scruffed leftie. Just about to do a new shoe post, found some more delectables!
