So what’s up with you guys this week? I’m knee deep in new product, sorting through fantabulous vintage (shut up, its a legit word, riiight?), and then out of the blue, Isobel from Frash Femme called me up and asked if I wanted to be blinged out!?! And I was like Heck YES I want to be blinged out! So she stopped by and blinged me out with her latest collection. I know, like seriously, riiiight? What’s a girl gotta do to get a reality check and realize this is freakin’ awesome! Isobel is an Ottawa jewelry designer and we’re excited to be working with her and her exquisite one of a kind creations! After all, that’s what we strive to be at chicshop.ca: one of a kind!
And today, I’m wearing my favorite new dresses from my favorite designer: Yasmine Wasfy. If you don’t know, now you will: Yasmine designs out of Montreal Canada, and I’ve been wearing her pieces for (I think) almost 4 years now? Everything is made and designed out of Montreal from rare and unique fabrics (sometimes she creates beauties like this dress out of vintage fabrics), and the woman knows women. She knows! OH! She knows! If you’ve never tried on a piece of hers, please do! It hugs you in all the right places, the quality is INCREDIBLE (seriously, the skirts and dresses I bought years ago, still fit and feel brand new, how often can you say that about something priced under $100 AND Made in Canada? Rarity!). Ok, now I’m just tooting my own shop’s horn, but seriously, check it out, more is coming to the shop later this month!

Love that dress! I really like that it’s reclaimed fabric– I like that so much better than the cheap, made in China falling-apart-on-the-rack material. You carry the best stuff in your store!

You look like a liquid gold wall paper, but with a rock star kind of edge. Maybe, the dress is the physical embodiment of a wall paper in a 5 star hotel that was in a room of, say, the Doors on their most decadent and torrid and rock-starry of nights.
